Geoff has been involved in the industry all of his life. Following in his father’s footsteps, he started his print journey at the age of sixteen. He founded the business in 1976, and, since then, his passion for the industry has been unwavering.

Sam Neal

Chief Executive Officer

Sam was born into the printing business. From spending his childhood making dens in the warehouse to starting work in 1998, to becoming MD in 2005, his experience in the industry excels. Similarly to his father, Sam’s enthusiasm and passion for the industry continues to drive the company forward.

Ernest Wale

Production Director

A highly knowledgeable print professional with 44 years’ experience in the printing industry, of which the last 38 years have been with Geoff Neal.

Over this time he has developed a very wide ranging and detailed ability of all printing and finishing processes with specific emphasis on colour management and all aspects of achieving consistent high quality. He ensures that we always produce high value print, to exacting standards, within tight deadlines keeping himself up to date with and making full use of the latest technology.

Craig Thornhill

Operations Director

Craig joined Geoff Neal Litho Ltd in January 2015. This was his first exposure to the commercial print industry. Previously Vice President of Operations for a large international packaging business, Craig brings with him 24 years of experience in business and manufacturing. His specific goal for Geoff Neal Group is to drive continuous improvement in quality and service.

Chris Fidge


Chris has been with Geoff Neal Group for over 18 years as Sales Director. His experience in print spans over 27 years. Chris is highly knowledgeable in Key Account acquisition and management, providing customers with a multi-discipline skill set. He is a dedicated problem-solver and loves being asked ‘how do we do this?’

Andy Booth

Head of Account Management

Andy was expertly trained at both Guildford and London College of Print. Head of the Account Management team, Andy is responsible for day-to-day production planning. He’s the person who ensures you get your job delivered on time!

Kevin Playle

Financial Controller

Kevin joined the company in January 2015. Beginning his career at Rayner Essex, a firm of chartered accountants, he has extensive accounting knowledge. He has worked with several leading companies including Zanussi, Bupa, Meadox, Occupational Health Railways, and more recently ONI PLC.

He enjoys the challenges that come with a new industry, and is looking to drive Geoff Neal through its next growth goals.

Andy Murgatroyd

Bindery and Transport Manager

Andy has a wealth of experience with all aspects of print finishing, with over 40 years experience under his belt. 

Starting as an apprentice in a small family owned company, through to Production Director of one the largest and busiest trade finishers in the U.K.

He has been a solid member of the Geoff Neal team for nine years, managing both the transport department and the extremely busy bindery. 

Marc Croucher

Manufacturing Director

Marc is passionate about the industry, thrives on challenge and change, building teams and encompassing technology in order to succeed.

With over 38 years of experience servicing the UK quality print sector, and regarded within the industry, as one of the top technical ‘hands on’ executives, Marc is supported by a proven track record of change management, strategic planning and implementation.

Steve Palmer

Sales Director

Steve started in the industry at the age of 19 as a Heidelberg Cylinder operator from where he progressed into litho printing and subsequently senior management roles.

His industry knowledge spans 33 years and he remains as committed and enthusiastic around its people, its processes and products as ever.
